The Locus Awards finalists have been announced — a very fine list of works by excellent people (to whom many congratulations!). I recommend checking out the shortlists if you’re looking for a selection of good and interesting books in the field.
I’m delighted and surprised and honoured to be included in the list of artist finalists — the list includes artists who have been foundational and formative for me, whose books I stared at and studied, artists who have taught me at workshops and by examples, artists who are now both heroes and friends, artists I hide out and draw in restaurants with at conventions.
